Photos of Michael Jackson have sold for €196,000.
Those looking for accurate antique appraisals might be interested to note photos of Michael Jackson have gone under the hammer for €196,000 (£166,226).
A collection of 90 snaps of the late pop superstar was sold at French auction house Pierre Berge and Associes with the most expensive image - depicting Jackson bare-chested and draped in a gold cape - fetching €26,000, Agence France-Presse reports.
The pictures were captured by French photographer Arno Bani to be used on the cover of the Beat It crooner's 2001 album Invincible, but other images ended up being used instead.
Talking about the photo shoot, Bani said: "He [Jackson] gave me complete carte blanche. I even asked him to cut his hair and he agreed."
Earlier this year, a basketball signed by Jackson and ex-Chicago Bulls basketball player Michael Jordan beat its pre-sale price guide to sell for $245, 000 at an auction in Macau, China.
