A piece of notebook paper featuring Bob Dylan's handwritten lyrics for the 1964 song The Times They Are A-Changin' has received an antiques valuation of between £128,000 and £193,000.

The autographed piece, which is written in pencil, also has five lines of the first verse of the singer's track North Country Blues and is set to be sold at auction at Sotheby's in New York.

Singer-songwriter Kevin Krown, who recorded some of Dylan's earliest songs, was originally given the item and it will go under the hammer on December 10th.

Earlier this year Dylan - also famed for songs including Blowin' In The Wind and Mr Tambourine Man - performed The Times They Are A-Changin' for US president Barack Obama.

Handwritten lyrics penned by music legend John Lennon recently attracted an antiques valuation of £350,000.

The former Beatles singer penned the words to I'm Only Sleeping on the reverse of a demand for an outstanding bill of £12.
