Chicago White Sox auction may inspire sports memorabilia seekers
Those looking for sporting-related antique valuations could be intrigued by news of one upcoming sale.
Fans of sporting memorabilia and antique valuations might be interested to learn that the Chicago White Sox has announced it is hosting two televised auctions via WGN-TV.
It will feature a series of VIP experiences up for grabs as part of the baseball club's annual Charities Week event, which raised $130,000 (£83,000) last year.
Those attending games or watching at home have the opportunity to bid for an item while a game is in progress.
In particular, participants can secure themselves a number of items related to the 2005 World Series, from an autographed Joe Crede cap to a signed Jon Garland baseball.
Furthermore, those who get involved can bid for a behind-the-scenes tour of Camelback Ranch, the White Sox's training facility, where lucky prize winners can meet a range of players.
Elsewhere, baseball fans might want to attend Bark In The Park at the Cincinnati Reds stadium on September 14th, an event which sees pet owners bring along their dogs and compete for special prizes.
