Lennon and Ono photo has antique price guide of $10k-15k
Those looking for an antique price guide on items might be inspired by news that a photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono is set to go under the hammer.
A photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, taken shortly before the former Beatles man was shot dead, has been given an antique price guide of between $10,000 (£6,421) and $15,000.
The item - which was captured by photographer Annie Leibovitz - features the pair embracing.
It is set to go under the hammer in New York on October 19th at the Swann Auction Galleries and is one of only 40 copies that were taken for Rolling Stone magazine in December 1980.
A private collector is set to put the piece up for sale.
This news comes after a toilet that used to belong to Lennon was sold at auction last month, going for £9,500.
It had an antique price guide of £1,000 but exceeded all expectations when it went under the hammer at the 33rd annual Beatles Convention in Liverpool - and Stephen Bailey, organizer of the auction said it was "unbelievable".
