Movie poster given £200k antiques valuation

An antiques valuation of £200k has been given to an original film poster.

An antiques valuation of £200,000 has been given to an original movie poster from the 1933 picture The Invisible Man.

It is among a range of memorabilia that will go under the hammer at a Profiles in History auction in Hollywood on December 17th and 18th.

Also available will be Johnny Depp's Edward Scissorhands costume from the cult Tim Burton motion picture and Brandon Routh's Superman Returns ensemble.

Other items up for grabs include Harrison Ford's heavily annotated script for the hit Indiana Jones film Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bela Lugosi's Ygor costume from Son of Frankenstein and James Cagney's tap dancing shoes.

Another items of movie memorabilia recently sold for more than ten times its antiques valuation.

A James Bond gun, which was used in promotional images of 007 film From Russia With Love went under the hammer for £277,250 at Christie's in London.

Experts has predicted the Walther air pistol would fetch between £15,000 and £20,000.
