The Fifth Annual Celebrity Duck Auction in the US may capture the imagination of those seeking antique valuations.

According to a piece published by kypost.com, the event will feature giant rubber ducks signed by a variety of famous figures - including Barack Obama and the rock band Metallica.

It is being organised by Free store Food bank and the money raised from the items will be put towards the organisation's endeavors.

Previously, the fundraisers dropped 100,000 rubber ducks into the Ohio River as part of the 15th Rubber Duck Regatta.

In doing so, it generated $500,000 (£322,000) in aid of feeding the hungry.

Each year, the group distributes more than 10 million pounds of food across American states such as Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio.

Recently, in the UK, stars from Coronation Street such as Alison King and Helen Worth donated a selection of shoes to an auction designed to benefit MAG, a landmine clearance charity.
