Scarface gun auction may encourage antique appraisals

Antique appraisal seekers might like to note that the gun described in Scarface as "my little friend" is expected to sell for £100,000.

Individuals who are seeking accurate antique appraisals may be interested to note that the "my little friend" gun used in Scarface is set to go under the hammer.

The item - which is expected to sell for up to £100,000 - was used in the 1983 film by Al Pacino, who played Tony Montana in the movie, to kill four people, the Telegraph reports.

And the same gun was used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 motion picture Predator.

A spokesman for RM Auctions said the weapon has a letter of authenticity with it, adding: "It is one of the most recognisable props in film history, certainly the most recognisable gun in film history with its very own often imitated catchphrase."

This news comes after an auction featuring various items from TV series Lost raised $1.8 million (£1.16 million), which included the $47,500 sale of a blue Volkswagen Dharma van.
